About Me

Telling stories through art

For Ingela Johansson, the universality of emotions is what inspires art. By creating in combination with meditation, her brush is allowed to flow freely, often creating pieces that may evoke a certain feeling to her, but are often brought to life by the bond they have with those who choose to hang them on their walls. Her client testimonies truly highlight the power of these paintings to settle the mind during a morning coffee or to remove worry before bed.

‘The ability to first, build a relationship to a piece and to then let that relationship get reshaped with its new owner is an incredible thing. The paintings get a layered story that transcends the colours or image’, Ingela recollects after the sale of Floating.

With her own global story, Ingela took to the paper to once again experience and reflect on the COVID-19 pandemic, creating pieces that brought each viewer to the global experience of a ‘new normal’. To many, the Contrasts collection has been a tool to remind them of what was important during that time, and about the beauty of both experiencing and moving beyond a life-changing time.
